We didn’t maintain the consistency through the game. The start of the second half is not good. Better decisions or composure we could have harmed a very good team.”The boys worked very hard and it’s difficult to play against Liverpool especially when they’re in front.”We deserved one goal at least. We have to now rest.”I’m happy because of the way we work and pass the moments football gives. We are consistent – the table doesn’t mean anything.” last_img read more

(Photo by Leon Halip/Getty Images)After undergoing multiple changes to the coaching staff over the past few months, the Michigan Wolverines will lose one of their top assistants in Pep Hamilton for 2019.Hamilton has spent time as the quarterbacks coach for multiple NFL teams and was the offensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts for nearly three seasons. The addition of Hamilton was supposed to elevate Michigan’s passing attack, but the offense was underwhelming at times since he moved to Ann Arbor. With Josh Gattis ready to serve as the offensive coordinator for the Wolverines, Hamilton is leaving to the program to pursue other coaching opportunities.Gattis was recently with Alabama as the co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach.According to Sam Webb of 247Sports, Ben McDaniels will replace Hamilton as the quarterbacks coach for Michigan.McDaniels was the interim wide receivers coach last season, and it’s pretty evident that Jim Harbaugh was satisfied with his job performance.Breaking: Pep Hamilton Leaving #Michigan; Ben McDaniels is New Quarterbacks Coach – https://t.co/UXFPQVRxCF pic.twitter.com/9qloHBQ29R— Sam Webb (@SamWebb77) February 5, 2019This marks the end of Hamilton’s second stint under Harbaugh, as the two coaches were together at Stanford in 2010.ESPN has confirmed the departure.Confirmed that former assistant Pep Hamilton is out at Michigan.
