CLEMSON, SC – OCTOBER 25: A general view of Memorial Stadium prior to the game between the Clemson Tigers and Syracuse Orange on October 25, 2014 in Clemson, South Carolina. (Photo by Tyler Smith/Getty Images)Christian Wilkins is a defensive tackle by trade, but the 300-pound Clemson Tiger is a spectacular all-around athlete. During spring practice, Wilkins has tried his hand at a number of skills that aren’t usually part of being an interior lineman, like making one-handed catches and kicking field goals.Of course, Wilkins is also pretty good at playing his position. As a true freshman, he racked up 33 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and two sacks for the Tigers this season. More: The 10 CFB Teams That Could Go Undefeated In 2016 >>>

Liverpool manager says that the animosity meted against Mesut Ozil has been blown out of proportion with unbalanced reportage. There have been controversy surrounding Mesut Ozil and Ilkay Gundogan’s photograph with Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan which attracted a lot of criticism that affected Germany’s World Cup preparation and performance.Klopp told Sport1 via FourFourTwo he believes the criticisms surrounding the Mesut Ozil’s subject is hypocritical.“This is a classic example of absolute misinformation and, of course, complete nonsense,” he said.“In politics, little things have always been blown up and big things pushed away in order to continue. Normally, intelligent people tend to hold back because it is not easy to say the right thing. I would count myself [among those people] too. All those who have no idea are very loud in these conversations.Virgil van Dijk praises Roberto Firmino after Liverpool’s win Andrew Smyth – September 14, 2019 Virgil van Dijk hailed team-mate Roberto Firmino after coming off the bench to inspire Liverpool to a 3-1 comeback win against Newcastle United.“I know Ilkay Gundogan very well, I know Emre Can and Nuri Sahin very well. I do not know Mesut so well, but I would like to take him home. I do not doubt these guys, at least about their loyalty to our homeland. The difference is that they just have one more thing [in their heritage]. Where is the problem? That’s beautiful.“Cultural diversity, we all thought it was really cool around the 2006 World Cup. I saw these fantastic commercials where the parents of Gerald Asamoah and Mario Gomez had a barbecue party together.“We all sighed for how great that works. And now two guys are seduced by politically quite intelligent people to have a photo, and then have relatively few opportunities to say what they want 100 per cent right.“That’s why I find this discussion hypocritical. Bad things happened because people were not informed properly. Even the media should not create a buzz around something like this every day. Just cool off and see the people behind it.”
Mark Hughes has hailed Danny Ings after the striker scored in their 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.Ings signed for Southampton from Liverpool on Deadline Day on a season-long loan, and he scored his second goal for the club at Selhurst Park and Hughes is pleased with his mentality.“He’s a good player. He’s got a lot of technical ability along with an eye for a goal which he’s always had in his career so it’s only early days.” Hughes told Sky Sports.“He didn’t train a great deal last week and he’s got a bit of an issue with a huge blister on the bottom of his foot that had to be numbed to allow him to play so he’s lacking a bit of match fitness. How Joe Ward thanks his faith for his football Manuel R. Medina – September 13, 2019 Crystal Palace defender, Joel Ward, has thanked his Christian faith for helping him play football professionally and he explains why.“But goals are the lifeblood of strikers and he’s in a good place at the moment.”Mark Hughes then spoke of Southampton vital away win at Crystal Palace. He added: “They’ve got a lot of good players they can call upon but it was more about us being able to control the game for long periods.“Everybody is in a better frame of mind when you can win before an international break and we’ve been able to do it. That will help our confidence when everybody comes back in 10 days or so.”
Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford believes he and his teammates will eventually master the style of new manager Marco Silva. The England international insists Everton’s players will continue working tirelessly on the training pitch to master Marco Silva’s demand for “easy on the eye” football. The Merseyside club are yet to lose a game so far in the current Premier League campaign with two wins and two draws to their name so far this season. However, Pickford, who made his 50th appearance for Everton in all competitions against Town, admits there is still work to be done to ensure Everton possess the tools to open up teams who come prepared to frustrate and limit the space for the Blues’ forwards to operate.“It doesn’t happen overnight but that is why we train hard every day at USM Finch Farm,” he told the club’s official website.“If we continue to do that, hopefully it makes it easier on a Saturday afternoon.”Everton still keen on signing Juve’s Moise Kean Obinna Echi – July 28, 2019 Everton are still pushing for the signature of Juventus striker Moise Kean despite the Italian champions insisting they’d only sanction the deal with a…“It will take a bit of time. The manager has come in and wants us to play good football that is easy on the eye. We have got the ability and the capability to do that. We have got to trust ourselves and if we do that, it will make it easier.“We are frustrated to concede from a set play – hopefully we can sort that out. We have been working hard on them and the gaffer is massive on set plays.“We have scored a couple of goals from them but we’ll be working hard [defending set plays]. If we can carry on scoring them at one end and start keeping them out at the other, that is how you can win games.”The Toffees go in to the first international break of the campaign unbeaten in their first five games, having scored 10 goals in the process. But Pickford knows Everton must ensure they continue to develop when the squad reconvenes after the international fixtures.“We are still unbeaten which is good. But we wanted a win on Saturday and in every game we play. We didn’t get beaten and that is a little positive from the game but we should have taken three points.“In terms of our home record, we need to be getting three points out of games like that.
Simone Inzaghi is confident that Lazio can still sustain the chase for a Champions League spot ahead of their showdown with SPAL.Lazio suffered a massive 3-0 home defeat to rivals Inter Milan and would be hoping to get things right against SPAL“We lost a game that was very important for us. We lost it by a wide margin and that should not have happened,” said Inzaghi in his Press conference via Football Italia.“Up until the first goal, it was a very balanced encounter and we had done well. Inter ultimately deserved the win, but we weren’t world-beaters before that game and we’re not worthy of the scrap heap now.“We have to look at what these lads have achieved over the last couple of years, finishing fifth and fourth in Serie A, with an Italian Super Cup on the shelf and a Coppa Italia Final.Match Preview: SS Lazio vs AS Roma Boro Tanchev – August 31, 2019 Lazio will host Roma to the Olimpico Stadium in the first Derby della Capitale of the 2019-20 Serie A campaign.“Some people might say that after fifth and fourth, we can give up on the Champions League, but I don’t. I still firmly believe in our chances and so do the players. It’s what we are all working towards.“Too often in Rome, opinion lurches from one side to the other with no sense of equilibrium. We are fourth in Serie A, second in the Europa League in a very tough group and the lads are doing a great job.“We analysed what happened, all took our share of the responsibility and now focus on SPAL, a very well-organised side and dangerous opponents. We can’t afford to get this one wrong.“SPAL’s statistics show how strong they are, including a victory here against Roma last month, so we mustn’t make the same mistake.”
